Thanks to a very generous donation from Dr. Bob F. Deys, a former staff member of the Radiobiology department and a recently awarded CCA grant, the Radiobiology research group has been able to acquire a brand-new cell irradiator.
This state-of-the-art irradiator, the XCELL180, opens up new possibilities for high-quality radiobiological research and enables us to deliver radiation doses even faster, more precisely, and more reliably across various cell models.
The XCELL180 has now found its place in the new RDC Adore research building, within the Laboratory for Experimental Oncology and Radiobiology (LEXOR).

Interested in using the irradiator or just curious to take a look at the lab? Feel free to contact Dr. Arlene Oei at a.l.oei@amsterdamumc.nl or via info@radiobiology.nl.
On behalf of the Radiobiology team: heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this possible!
