"I presented the Bayesian Fusion Forest at ISCB GMDS 2026 in Freiburg: the method combines randomised trial and observational data to estimate heterogeneous treatment effects on survival outcomes. Leading biostatisticians gave me valuable feedback and made me rethink the assumptions we use. I also expanded my network over some Black Forest cake, which turned out to be the good fuel for scientific debate."
