A recent study at Amsterdam UMC shows that the main challenge is not the lack of support structures, but limited coherence, visibility, follow-up, and local embedding. The resulting policy brief summarises the key findings and provides practical recommendations, including clearer governance and escalation routes, a central social safety platform, continuous monitoring, and stronger local prevention.
