Focus of research
My research focuses on precision cardiovascular prevention: how can we better identify and characterize individuals at risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease beyond conventional risk factors, and use this information to personalize prevention? I combine my clinical expertise in cardiology with quantitative multimodality imaging (including photon-counting CCTA and molecular PET), artificial intelligence, and biomarker research to address clinically relevant questions in cardiovascular prevention. My research spans translational studies, clinical studies, and large population-based cohorts within international collaborations, with an emphasis on translating methodological innovations into clinically useful tools.
