On 24 September, the first VU Research Day brings together researchers from all faculties and disciplines. Under the theme Spaces of Transformation, we will share experiences, explore new perspectives and connect through workshops, dialogues and inspiring stories.

Research is constantly evolving. Not only do our research questions and methods change, but so do the ways in which we collaborate, our roles as researchers and the relationship between science and society.

VU Research Day creates a space to reflect on these changes together. The programme explores three levels of transformation: the personal transformation of the researcher, the transformation of research practices and the transformation of systems and major societal challenges.

Through interactive sessions, workshops and dialogues, researchers will share experiences from their daily practice. You will meet colleagues from other faculties, explore new approaches to research and discover opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. VU research networks, institutes and support services will also be present to connect people, ideas and expertise.

VU Research Day is open to all researchers at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, regardless of faculty, discipline, career stage or type of appointment.

Be inspired by colleagues from across the university, share your own experiences and discover what new connections can emerge when we create space for transformation.
