Focus of research
My work focussing on understanding the role of lipids in Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. I use human iPSC-derived models combined to multiomic approaces to study these diseases, to define disease-driving pathways and to discover (lipid-targeting interventions) for neurodegenerative diseases.
My research lines spans from basic cell biology of AD risk genes, to assay development, drug screening and an ongoign phase 2a clincial trial with a brain-cholesterol targeting intervention.
