The Amsterdam Young Academy (AYA) recently published the booklet Fixing Academia. Researchers from VU, the UvA, and Amsterdam UMC reflect on the future of the academic world in this collection.
Callista Mulder (Assistant Professor of Reproductive Biology at Amsterdam UMC) contributed a chapter on parenting in academia, written with a personal touch. She explores the challenges and possible solutions that arise when passion for research and parenthood come together.
The book is available open access via fixingacademia.wordpress.com and as a paperback from various bookstores. A book launch will take place on 18 May at SPUI25 in Amsterdam.
