Focus of research

My research line focuses on the effect of hearing loss on speech perception difficulties and listening effort. My recent studies assessed the quantification of listening effort using pupillometry, and the relationship between listening effort and hearing related stress.

My current projects aim to assess listening-related effort in conditions that are more ecologically valid than standard speech perception tests. For example, social aspects are taken into account, or ambulatory recordings of hearing-related stress are performed in actual daily-life situations.

I collaborate with academic and industrial partners (hearing aid manufacturers).
