Focus of research

As a researcher in the field of Clinical Child and Family studies I study family centeredness in health care, youth care and education, especially in vulnerable groups (e.g., children with psychological problems, chronic illness, disability).

With my research and education, I try to improve the support for and collaboration with families, including children, siblings and parents. Supporive collaboration with families includes equal communication, respect for autonomy, and sensitivitity for diversity.

The projects I am involved in are strongly embedded in clinical practice, and based on enduring collaborations with relevant stakeholders in schools, parent organizations, hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

My research is embedded in APH research institute and LEARN!
