APH researcher Mireille Dekker (PhD candidate at Amsterdam UMC) was awarded the valorization Grant of the APH Quality of Care program for 2021.
With this grant Mireille developed of a knowledge clip and a tip sheet for her peers working in the field of infection prevention, based on the findings of her PhD trajectory.
The clip stimulates the use of evidence based elements to strengthen programs that support link nurses. The tip sheet explains these elements and provides strategies for their effective implementation.
Together with APH researchers Irene Jongerden and Martine de Bruijne, and medical microbiologists Rosa van Mansfeld en Christina Vandenbroucke-Grauls Mireille studied how to improve infection prevention in acute care hospitals with the help of infection control link nurses.
