Introduction meetings CFG at location AMC and VUmc

Every month there will be an introduction meeting at the CFG locations. New CFG users, but also routine users who like a fresh up or want to work at the other CFG location are welcome. 

Topics during the meeting will be the services CFG offers, safety on the labs, use of machines and access to the labs. The meeting is an addition to on our laboratory regulations. These regulations you receive by email when registering at the CFG and can be found in K2.

CFG User Meeting - 6th of October 2026

The topic of this webinar will be:

Illumina 5-base & TruPath: extended genomic insights through long fragments and methylation data

In this webinar, CFG will introduce two new assays from Illumina and share our initial experiences with these technologies:

  • 5-base Assay
     A single assay for comprehensive characterization of the 5-base genome (A, T, G, C, and 5mC), providing dual insights into both the whole genome and the methylome.
  • TruPath Genome
     Illumina TruPath Genome advances whole-genome sequencing (WGS) by combining the accuracy and accessibility of short-read sequencing with long-range information traditionally restricted to long-read platforms. TruPath Genome offers an ultra-simple workflow and enables access to challenging genomic regions, structural variants, and phased variant calls across the human genome.
