VACCINATION RESEARCH | Challenges and Developments in Vaccination Research from Infectious Diseases to CancerAt the Amsterdam Institute for Immunology and Infectious Diseases (AI&I), we focus on three key research areas: Post-Acute Infection Syndromes (PAIS), Immunomonitoring, and Vaccination. Regularly, we highlight one of these areas, exploring essential knowledge, challenges, and real-world impact. In Q3 2026, our spotlight is on Vaccination. In this article, written in collaboration with AI&I researcher Prof. Joke den Haan, we explore the challenges and developments in vaccination research.
Cross-institute Synergy Grant Meet&Greet: Connecting Researchers Across Amsterdam UMC Research InstitutesTo kick off the AI&I Cross-Institute Synergy Grant call, researchers from five Amsterdam UMC research institutes gathered for a networking event at Hotel CASA in Amsterdam on the 15th of June. The meeting was organised to spark new collaborations across institutes. Researchers affiliated with AI&I, ACS, AGEM, AMS, and APH came together for an afternoon of introductions, idea-sharing, and networking, followed by a walking dinner that further sparked new collaborations and project ideas.
