Researchers can request funding for equipment with a value between €12,000 and €50,000 (including VAT). The equipment must be purchased by a department of Amsterdam UMC and can be located at either the AMC or VUmc campus.
Focus of the call
The investment round aims to stimulate translational research — research at the interface of basic science, patient-related research, and clinical application. Proposals that enable new and innovative translational research with strong potential impact will be prioritized.
Selected equipment should be accessible to researchers across the Amsterdam Movement Sciences network, supporting collaboration between clinical and preclinical research groups.
What can be funded?
Funding is available exclusively for the purchase of research equipment. The department where the equipment is placed will be responsible for its management and operation. The invoice date for the equipment purchase must be no later than 1 November 2026.
Additional financing or matching funds may be considered if the requested budgets exceed the available AMS budget.
