The Academic Collaborative Center HumanTotalCare–Amsterdam UMC aims to contribute to high scientific quality and impact within the field of work, health and occupational healthcare. The focus of the Academic Collaborative Center is on data-driven absence and prevention research, education and occupational healthcare.

Objectives

  • To bring together occupational health scientists, occupational health professionals and occupational healthcare data
  • To contribute to high scientific quality and impact within the field of work, health and occupational healthcare
  • To increase, disseminate, implement and use knowledge in this field, with specific attention for data-driven absence and prevention in occupational healthcare

  • HumanTotalCare; one of the largest occupational health services in the Netherlands taking care of approximately 1.4 million workers with authority in the field of absenteeism and sustainable employability

    The Academic Collaborative Center HumanTotalCare–Amsterdam UMC has been established in 2025.

    It concerns a structural cooperation, in first instance for a five-year term.

    Coordinators

    Both partners of the Academic Collaborative Center have a coordinator. Dr. Astrid de Wind (a.dewind@amsterdamumc.nl) coordinates from the side of Amsterdam UMC and Dr. Robin Kok (r.kok@humantotalcare.nl) coordinates from the side of HumanTotalCare.
