Amsterdam Cohort Hub (ACH) is building an integrated support structure for researchers working with population-based cohort data within Amsterdam UMC and beyond. Through collaboration with existing research support units, ACH aims to streamline access to expertise, tools, and procedures relevant to cohort studies.

This page provides an overview of the key service areas currently available or in development, from data access and methodological advice to legal, ICT, and biobank support. As ACH continues to evolve, new services and connections will be added to further strengthen collaboration, data quality, and research impact across cohorts.

Data Access

ACH is developing a unified framework for accessing cohort data through a single-entry system and shared data catalogue. Researchers will soon be able to explore available datasets and follow harmonized access procedures across cohorts.

Learn more about Data Access on our Data webpage.

Cohort Support

From ICT and legal guidance to METC, RDM, biobank connections, and privacy support, ACH is working to connect researchers with the right expertise for every step of cohort management.

Methodological Support

In collaboration with the Department of Epidemiology and Data Science (EDS), ACH offers access to advanced methodological expertise and training for researchers using longitudinal and population-based data.

Grant Support

Together with the Research Grant Support (RGS) office, ACH helps researchers identify funding opportunities, prepare proposals, and build collaborative grant applications that strengthen cohort research.

Data Management Plan (DMP) Support

ACH collaborates with Research Data Management (RDM) experts to provide templates and tailored advice for creating FAIR-aligned data management plans specific to cohort studies.

Knowledge platform

ACH facilitates exchange between cohort professionals by developing a central knowledge platform for sharing best practices, tools, and methodological resources.
