Stan, head of the Tytgat Institute, leads a group of scientists studying cholestatic and metabolic liver diseases. Stan received the Distinguished Hepatologist Award at the Dutch Digestive Disease Days, from its Dutch counterpart, NASL or Nederlandse Vereniging voor Hepatologie.
